Installing and Configuring Docs+

Docs+ Two-way integration for Slack and Confluence requires two applications: Confluence and Slack. You will start with the Confluence app, which will lead you through the Slack app installation.

Installing the Docs+ Confluence App

  1. Install the Docs+ app from the Atlassian Marketplace
    1. The easiest way to install the app is from Confluence AdministrationAtlassian MarketplaceFind new apps
  2. After install, click Get Started (for Cloud) or Configure (for Data Center)
  3. Click Login on the Welcome to Docs+ page.
  4. Click Sign in with Slack to log into the Account Portal
  5. Select your Slack Workspace, then click Accept and Continue
    1. If prompted, enter the code you review from Slack via email
  6. Select Docs+ from the left-hand sidebar
  7. Click Add to Slack
  8. Select the correct Slack Workspace in the upper-right, then click Allow
  9. Click Let's create an Application Link next to “Already have the Confluence App installed?”
  10. Enter your Confluence URL (e.g. https://companyname.atlassian.net/wiki or https://confluence.companyname.com) and click Check URL followed by Click here for instructions just above the text box
  11. Click Copy to copy “https://account.nextup.ai” to your clipboard, then click Open Application Links in Confluence
  12. Click Create link
  13. Paste “https://account.nextup.ai” then click Continue and Continue
  14. Click Allow on the Welcome to Confluence page.
  15. Click Go to Docs+ home in Slack or switch to Slack and open the Docs Plus app.
  16. Now the final step - Connect your Slack User to your Confluence User: Click Connect Now and click Allow 

Congratulations! The Docs+ app is now available in your Slack workspace!

After Connecting your Slack and Confluence accounts, Docs Plus will send you a welcome message with helpful steps for configuring notifications.
